What would cause a fan to not blow on high but does on lower settings?

I have a stand fan with oscillation and when i got it the fan blew very well on high.. now anymore if we turn it on high we cannot feel any air coming from it in our bed but if we turn it on a lower setting we feel it fine.. any thoughts as to why this might be?
