What's wrong with my kitten?

Ok so lately my kittens been yelping or making this weird noise like if you had stepped on him if he's chasing something or running around. And today his stool was darker than usual. But all in all he is a pretty healthy kitten. Very active and social. I was just wondering of anything was wrong.
