Final Cut Pro X or Final Cut Studio?

I'm interested in purchasing one of the two. I get them both for $300 due to getting the student discount on Final Cut Studio. I am VERY efficient with using iMovie and I heard Final Cut Pro X is good for iMovie users. But I can get the $1,000 final cut studio for the same price. I'm not that good with pro editing software though.
